We are excited to announce the new NikoHealth 1.27 release with enhancements to Product Maintenance, Payment and ERA  Improvements, Introduction of custom user roles and permissions, extension of task functionality and availability of a new order API.

Product Maintenance Enhancements

If you have inventory items that require regular maintenance this feature will allow you to manage this process.

To do so first you must indicate in your product catalog that a specific item requires maintenance. Go to management/inventory/catalog and select the item you wish to update.

Note: This maintenance functionality is only available for serialized items as they can be uniquely tracked.

On the product you will notice a maintenance section where you can:

  • Select the service required checkbox
  • Indicate how the item should be treated to calculate the initial maintenance date by selecting the interval and cycle

Once completed click save to update this products properties.

You can identify when inventory item(s) may be due for service by going to the inventory tab and using the advanced filter and selecting service required.

When you click into an inventory item that requires service you will notice a maintenance section.

It will display:

  1. Last Service Date
  2. Next Service Date

The last service date and next service date can be updated as needed by the user. Once updated it will automatically save the update including user and time into the notes section of the item.

The Service Note section is available for a user to indicate any type of maintenance performed. Once the note is entered and saved it automatically saves into the note history including user and time of update.

Payment  and ERA Improvements

We have enhanced some functionality around payment and ERA postings and introduced new filters.

When selecting a payment remittance under the Billing/Payments tab:

  • We have added the user and time that the payment has been created
  • To modify a payment you can click the + icon and select Edit Payment Details
  • To edit any invoice remittances you can click on the Edit button

You can now filter your payment remittance with new filters including :

  1. Invoice #
  2. Date of Service
  3. Patient
  4. HCPCS
  5. Failed or Applied
