Sometimes write-off’s are needed and when that time comes you may need to do it in bulk. If you have a number of accounts to write off our latest release includes this Write Off & Close functionality.
You can find this new feature under the billing/invoices tab by clicking the + icon in the upper right hand corner.
Click on Write Off & Close
- You can filter by a specific patient, invoice id or invoice status.
- In addition if you click on the advanced filter icon you can filter your invoices with additional options.
Once you have applied your filters click the checkmark to apply and your invoices will appear.
To close out of the advanced filters view click on the X.
- To select all invoices you can check off the box to the left of the patient header name or you can select one or multiple invoices by checking the box on each invoice line.
- Once the desired invoices have been selected you can click Write Off & Close and a window will appear. It will confirm that you wish to proceed with the write off. You must select an adjustment reason and a note field is optional. When you are ready to proceed simply click on Yes, proceed and you’re all set.
