Summer momentum continues with our latest feature release, bringing powerful enhancements across billing, inventory, resupply, and operational workflows. This release introduces a brand-new Statements experience for facility billing, smarter authorization management, greater pricing flexibility, and new inventory management capabilities. We’ve also included several workflow and usability improvements designed to reduce manual effort and help your team work more efficiently. Don’t worry if you don’t see these updates just yet—they’re on their way. As always, we’re continuously delivering enhancements to help your organization work smarter every day.

Here’s What’s New

New Facility Billing Workflow

Simplify facility billing with our new Statements workflow, designed to make it easier to consolidate invoices, manage statements, and post payments—all in one place.

What’s new:

  • Consolidate multiple invoices into a single Facility Statement for streamlined billing.

  • Improve traceability with a unique Statement ID that remains associated with every included invoice.

  • Manage statements centrally from the new Billing > Statements queue, with visibility into balances, statement details, and activity.

  • Track the full statement lifecycle and post payments using the Statement ID for a simpler, more efficient payment posting process.

  • Improve statement-level reporting with the addition of Statement ID to the Invoice Details Report, making it easy to identify which invoices are associated with a specific statement.

Enhanced Authorization Management

Reduce manual effort and improve order accuracy with enhanced authorization management.

What’s new:

  • Automatically mark authorizations as Pending when no authorization number has been entered.

  • Prevent duplicate authorizations by validating overlapping authorization periods.

  • Automatically update invoices in a Hold status when new or updated authorizations are entered, including removing Authorization Required and Authorization Expired hold tags when appropriate.

Appointment Updates

Streamline appointment management and equipment pickups with greater workflow flexibility and automated rental updates.

What’s new:

  • Automatic Rental Stop During Pickup: When completing an appointment, users can select Pickup or Exchange as the Transfer Type for on-hand items. Selecting Pickup for a rental item automatically stops the rental and records Pickup as the Stop Reason.
  • This follow-up enhancement builds on the functionality introduced in a prior release, when Pickup and Exchange options were added to the Order Complete workflow.
  • Flexible Appointment Status Updates: Users can now update the status of previously non-editable appointments when needed, as long as the appointment has not completed the full workflow.

Inventory Updates

Gain greater flexibility managing inventory costs and fixed assets with new inventory management capabilities.

What’s new:

  • Fixed Asset Disposal Enhancements: Manual asset disposal now supports entering a Sale Price and automatically calculates Gain or Loss, providing improved financial reporting and visibility into asset disposals.

  • Enhanced Fixed Asset Reporting: The Fixed Asset Report now includes Sale Price and Gain/Loss fields, providing greater visibility into asset sales and their financial impact.

Import & Export Updates

Simplify data management with new import and export capabilities that make it easier to maintain records in bulk.

What’s new:

  • Inventory Adjustment Import: A new Inventory Adjustment Import/Export option is now available under Management > Data Transfer, making it easier to perform bulk warehouse inventory adjustments. Export your current inventory, update counts and adjustments as needed, and import the file back into the system to process the changes.

  • Service Location Import: A new Service Location Import option is now available under Management > Data Transfer, making it easier to create and manage Service Locations in bulk. Import Service Location data directly into the system to streamline setup and reduce the need for manual entry.

  • Billing Provider Export: Billing Providers can now be exported directly from Management > Data Transfer > Export.

API Updates

Expand integration capabilities with new API endpoints that simplify and extend integrations.

What’s new:

  • Insurance Reordering: Added new endpoints that allow integrations to reorder insurance records and manage primary, secondary, and subsequent insurance priorities for both patients and invoices.
    • Patient insurance reorder: POST /v1/patients/{patientId}/insurances/reorder
    • Invoice insurance reorder: POST /v1/invoices/{invoiceId}/insurances/reorder
  • Organization Details: Added a new endpoint to retrieve the current organization details.
    • GET /v1/organization
  • Order Tag Management: Added API support for creating, updating, deleting, and batch deleting Order Tags, providing integrations with greater flexibility to manage order categorization.
    • POST /v1/order-tags

    • PUT /v1/order-tags/{id}

    • DELETE /v1/order-tags/{id}

    • DELETE /v1/order-tags/batch

  • Patient ID Filtering: Enhanced the Patients API with optional ID-based filtering, allowing integrations to retrieve patients using one or more specific Patient IDs.
    • GET /v1/patients

  • Advanced Routing & Disptaching: Expanded Order APIs to support Advanced Routing workflows, including inventory fulfillment by driver, scheduled delivery dates, and additional routing statuses such as Unassigned, Delivery Scheduled, Out for Delivery, and Missed Delivery.

  • Authorization Management: Enhanced the Authorization API to provide greater flexibility when creating payer authorizations, including making the Authorization Number optional and adding options to update invoices on hold due to Authorization Required or Authorization Expired conditions.

Parachute Health Integration Improvements

Further streamline patient referral workflows with several enhancements to the NikoHealth and Parachute Health integration, improving patient matching, reducing duplicate orders, and increasing visibility throughout the referral process.

What’s new:

  • Automatic Parachute Order Tagging: Orders originating from Parachute Health are now automatically tagged with ParachuteHealth tag, making it easier to identify and report on referrals received through the integration.

  • Link Parachute Health Orders to Existing NikoHealth Orders: Users can now enter the NikoHealth Order ID as the SupplierSystem ID in Parachute Health to link an order to an existing NikoHealth order. Related documents from Parachute Health will then be automatically attached to the corresponding NikoHealth order when accepted.

  • Order Status Synchronization Improvements: When a NikoHealth order transitions to In Progress, the corresponding Parachute Health order status will no longer be updated, preventing unintended status changes between systems.

Additional Improvements and Enhancements

What’s new:

  • Retail Price for Patient Billing: When an item is set to Bill to Patient, the Retail Price is available as a suggested price option and will be selected by default when appropriate.

  • Improved System Notifications: System messages now remain visible longer and remain visible while users hover over them, making important messages easier to review.

  • Customizable Cover Page Header: Cover page headers now automatically display the relevant organization or details. Users can also edit the content as needed.

  • Redesigned Outbound Campaign Settings: The Outbound Campaign management settings has been updated with an improved layout, making it easier to navigate and manage campaign details.
